FAQ's

ARE YOU OPEN SATURDAY?

No. We are open Monday through Friday 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM

IF MY VEHICLE’S FRAME IS DAMAGED IS IT A TOTAL LOSS?

No. A car is a total loss only when the price of repairs exceeds the insurance companies determined value. In South Carolina, this is typically when repairs exceed 75% of the clean, NADA value. This can vary by insurance company. We use a state-of-the-art computer controlled laser measuring system. This allows a measurement of the damage and monitors the frame adjustments made to bring the vehicle frame into factory specification.

CAN YOU MATCH THE PAINT COLOR?

Absolutely! The world’s largest refinish paint manufacturer supports our paint system. In addition to color chips, which help identify variants, found in the original finishes; we use a state of the art color spectrophotometer to measure the color values.

HOW LONG WILL THE REPAIRS TAKE?

The repair time is a calculated by the hours estimated to repair the damage. When you receive the estimate we will give you a time in days for the repair. If concealed damage is observed once the repair process begins, we will give you an adjusted date to allow those additional repairs to be completed.

HOW DO I KNOW WHEN MY CAR IS COMPLETED?

We will notify you either by telephone, e-mail or text (your preference) about midway through the repair process and a day or two prior to our estimated completion. Of course some repairs are only a day or two and we will notify you the day it is ready for pick up.

HOW CAN I GET A RENTAL CAR?

If your insurance covers a rental vehicle, the insurance company typically arranges the rental. We also have local relationships that offer discounted car rentals. We will assist you in arranging your car rental.

IS THERE A WARRANTY ON THE REPAIRS TO MY VEHICLE?

Yes. Mt. Pleasant Collision guarantees all of our repairs. In addition, all paint work carries an additional manufacturer warranty.

DO I HAVE TO PAY A DEDUCTIBLE?
